SPACE FOR COOPERATION,
FUTURE FOR THE ARCTIC

ARCTIC PARTNERSHIP WEEK

What is Arctic Partnership Week?

As an official observer to the Arctic Council, the Republic of Korea actively contributes to international dialogue for a peaceful and sustainable Arctic.

As climate change reshapes the Arctic environment, ecosystems, economies and communities, closer cooperation across policy, science and industry is more important than ever.

Arctic Partnership Week has been held annually since 2016 as a forum where diverse partners exchange knowledge, share experience and develop practical paths for cooperation. It has grown into a leading platform for Arctic dialogue among observer countries and the wider international community.

INVITATION

Invitation

We invite you to Arctic Partnership Week 2026.

The Arctic is where changes in the climate and marine environment are emerging most rapidly, and where the international community must work together to shape our shared future. Changes in the region are closely connected not only to climate and ecosystems, but also to shipping and logistics, science and technology, industry and our daily lives.

Building a peaceful and sustainable Arctic future therefore requires continued dialogue and cooperation across countries, regions and generations.

Arctic Partnership Week brings together policymakers, experts, researchers, industry, civil society and younger generations from Korea and abroad to examine the Arctic today and explore new possibilities for cooperation.

“Space for Cooperation, Future for the Arctic” is the theme of Arctic Partnership Week 2026. Across policy and science, economy and industry, community and education, participants will share knowledge and experience while seeking practical ways to cooperate in a changing Arctic.

We hope that different ideas and experiences will create new possibilities and that this gathering will further strengthen the foundations of sustainable Arctic cooperation for future generations.

We look forward to your interest and participation in Arctic Partnership Week 2026 in Busan.

Thank you.
